You may remember that last year at this time I was shaking my head in disbelief at the iPod Mini. I thought for sure it would flop, since after all, who would pay $250 for only 4GB of storage?

Boy was I wrong. In fact, I even bought H one and was so completely smitten that I nearly bought one for myself. So this year the Stevenote included the announcement of the iPod Shuffle, which, ok, stupid name, but what a lovely little device. It might be the perfect little audio device for my uses.

I've found myself almost solely listening to lectures and podcasts on my beloved first generation iPod, and since the time / data ratio is so favorable, I should be able to fit several hours of lectures on my new Shuffle. Yes, that's right, I already bought one. Only 2 hours after the keynote was over.

Also, I love love love the Mac Mini. I'm really tempted to buy one, and if it wasn't for my lovely 15" Powerbook, I would have. I especially get a kick out of this picture on the Apple Store:

It almost looks like someone screwed up and forgot to include the Mini image.
